Default ' Skipping movement ' / ' lag ' problem

Few days back i bought Nightfall for a friend
It worked just normaly until yesterday when we ecourtered wicked problem which is pissing us off

All his heroes, hench or any other characters in game are like 'lagging' tho the world itself is normal. Ping is usuall, 50 - 200 green icon all the time, we even did fresh install of windows, checked all drivers etc but no help. FPS is stable 30 - 40 so this is only problem

It happens in towns and in nromal areas. Even his compas got like ' dot jumps ' so its really unplayable for him.

I dont mind problems when they come but this is just silly. Worked so normaly, nothing was changed on pc, nothing installed etc and than this happen. Is this some update problem or what i dont know.

We tried some defragment of disc, defragment of GW.dat, playing with lower resolutions, muting lowering sound etc etc etc and it just cant stop with that lag shit
He got normal PC btw, 512 mb ram, +2500 CPU, plenty space on HDD, 5900 nvidia (as i said normal FPS ) and above all that clean windows XP + sp2 install..

Im really confused with this problem and i beleive that there is no smart solution with this.
Perhaps some1 here had this problem ?

So shortly:

Game run smooth
Characters are skiping like 2-3 meter jumps while his main character moves smootlhy as it should

tried everything, graph settings low, played with vertical sync, switch -nosound, -dx8, reconfigured router, firewall off, different mtu value.. all failed
hope we find the solution for this..
with this "bug" or glitch the game is totally unplayable...

I'm having the same problem, the henchies are standing still and there's no movement animation, they just teleport ..
Even though it is just a glitch i can fix with resetting something in graph settings, then back, it is still annoying and it's starting to happen more and more often, and I'm sure it is not my pc because everything else runs fine..
My spec is :
Abit av8
amd a.64 3200+
ati rad. 9800 pro
1 gig ram
1 mbit net/54 mbit wireless router

Here on earth, we call it; rubber banding...and the grand truth is, well...it's nothing new.

It is not rubber banding, i don't lag, i don't get teleported back, I can do everything just fine, but there are no movement animation of the henchies, and sometimes for the monsters too...

This is a different issue than rubberbanding; the error log will show it as "Client pathing data out of sync with server. You may observe your character 'warping' during movement."

Essentially what is happening is that your comp and the server don't agree on where the character should move, so it ends up "teleporting" the model and dot every few seconds to its new location. They're still where they're supposed to be; they just don't APPEAR to be there.

I have the same problem and have narrowed it down to when I minimize the game via the Windows key and open back into full screen mode. I have rarely seen it happen elsewhere.

Yesterday seemed really bad for lag for me, maybe just a server overload?

I think many people are having very similar issues. Some of the pvp maps too have really skippy or lagging feeling. Prior to NF getting 120 fps wasn't out of the question in some areas, no I'm lucky to get 50-70 max in those same areas. I do know that nf has beefed up graphics in some cases, but many times the graphic spikes are insane. I'm pretty sure that GW has gotten worse since NF release on the graphical smoothness side which can lead to a plethora of issues like warping heros, rubberbanding and frame skipping. I'm sure if enough people put in support tickets for these, they might get addressed faster.

Good news for me, hopefully for u2.
So.. i turned off my nvidia integrated lan in bios, used a 3com LAN card instead of it and
Gw works perfectly! Smooth moving animation everywhere, hope it stays so :P
In 3 hours of gameplay got 3 or 4 laggspikes, game stopped responding for 2 secs.. much better nah? ) ( so dont had to replace utp nor bypassing router)

So in my point of view it was a hardware issue. (i still pray gw will keep working like that). If u have integrated lan card, mbe worth a try, steal one LAN card from a friend to test it, if it works, buy one
Ill report later if it keeps working or not.

Well, that would explain why it never happened on my old computer but happens here...though my integrated LAN card is on an ASUS P5NB Deluxe Wi-Fi or something like that...hard to remember my mobo number off the top of my head :P

I suppose I could use the other computer's LAN card and see if it works...
